My second portfolio
To the right of the entrance to the porch is a spice rack. It can be slid out of its surround for painting.
The radiator used to be across the opening I made to get from the kitchen to the porch. I swung it round, and put it on a plinth to make it easier to clean under it. The toothed decoration underneath is inspired by Victorian railroad station architecture in England.
I also recessed the radiator ½” into the wall so as not to restrict the doorway to the right.
Above it is an alcove for reading material. It slides to reveal storage of minor things behind.
I had fun stretching the normal rosette (top right) to the width of the spice rack (top left). Instead of being square, it is an oblong.
